What happens if its windy or raining during our photoshoot?
We can almost PROMISE there will be wind. This is an island and those tradewinds make this such a beautiful place to live. It also will make your hair messy. If you are shooting at the beach or on a mountain, the experince will not be that of one in a portrait studio with controlled light and air conditioning. To us, it is a beautiful part of the "experience" of a beach shoot...go with the flow! Literally! Of course, we will try and go with the direction of the wind, but sometimes the light is not going the same way! It's OK! And while you can invest in photoshop to be more perfect, you can also go with the way the day was and enjoy the memories of getting splashed, windblown and sandy! It's seriously half the fun! Also it rains here quite often and it sprinkles while its sunny a lot too! We just keep shooting or duck under a bush. Of course, if it's POURING we will do our best to reschedule while you are here.
I feel uncomfortable taking photos? Will I know what to do?
We are AMAZING at giving direction. We know most people aren't used to being in front of the camera so we specialize in posing instructions and making it a LOT OF FUN! When you have fun it makes for great memories and photos.
How do you deliver your images?
We deliver images digitally via Pixieset as most photographers do these days. It is an easy and efficient system to preview, favorite and receive your images
How soon after my photo session do you get your photos?
Typically, we get your finished photos to you within 2 weeks of the session. For weddings, please allow for 4 weeks.
Do you offer Photoshop/Editing services?
Yes, we can absolutely provide Photoshop such as slimming, head swapping, etc. We edit each photo by hand and do not just use a "filter" like on Instagram so there is an additional fee based on how long each photo will take and what needs to be done. Our photoshop/editing prices are absolutely competitive with other family photographers.
What kind of camera (and other) equipment that you use?
We use All Canon cameras with a wide variety of Canon Lenses and off camera flash equipment. We will always have a backup camera just in case!
How much should someone spend on family photography?
On average, photography fees can swing wildly. From the time spent at the shoot, how many people are in the shoot, time editing to photoshop hours, and if you want drone or video footage can cause pricing to vary. Our family photography sessions typically start at about $400 and will go from there, again depending on all the options.
What should someone look for when choosing a good family photographer?
Review their Portfolio and look at their Instagram posts and Reviews! Look for consistency. Make sure you like their style, because there are many photographers with different styles to choose from. We are all a bit different, so choose the style you want your photos to look like. For example, if you like heavily photoshopped, or very bright or dark and moody images, then choose based on what you want your final product to look like based on their overall portfolio..
When it comes to photographing Engagement or Couples Sessions, how do you describe your Photographic Style?
Our photographic style would be described as colorful lifestyle photography. We love bright and saturated colors and crisp contrasty black and whites.

Is 30 minutes long enough for engagement photos?
This depends on how much you love or dislike photoshoots! If you are a person (or have a partner) who LOVES having their photo taken on a beautiful beach...then go for an hour. But if you are more the shy type, who just wants that moment, 30 min is enough.
Should I get a photographer when I propose?
OF COURSE you should! That is one of the most special days in your life and you'll definitely want to remember it! I've heard SO many couples say they regret not having a photographer. But I LOVE having memories in photo form...so if that's you too... then do it!
How soon after being proposed to should you schedule your engagement photo session? And how late is too
late?
If you're using them for a specific reason such as Save The Dates or at the ceremony, plan no later than 3-4 weeks prior to mailing or the ceremony. Otherwise, its never too late.
