Maui Maternity Photography

Welcome to Capture Aloha’s Maternity Photo Gallery! We have been a top-notch Maternity Photographer on Maui for several years. With our love for family, we embrace the special moments life presents to us all. That is why we have a special love for capturing a precious moment such as maternity. It’s a beautiful memory of this very special time in your life. If you live on the island of Maui, or have plans to visit, we invite you to scroll down and review a selection of maternity portraits. If these connect with you, please feel free to contact us with any questions or for a free consultation, or you can book us today here.

It is our goal to capture those special maternity moments for you to cherish for a lifetime. For an expectant mom, if you’re wondering how many months or weeks prior to delivery you should shoot your photo session, we believe there is no exact time. It’s really up to you. We know that for many of you, Maui is a destination and not your home, so we will celebrate any amount of time baby is brewing! That said, two things to consider when scheduling your session is scheduling it too soon and you may not have the baby bump you desire in your photos or having your photo session too close to your due date could cause you to have your child before your Maternity session takes place.

If scheduling your maternity photo session here in Maui, we recommend having them taken on one of the beautiful beaches here on the island. With the beautiful sunsets and/or sunrises, palm trees, mountainous backdrops, or the crashing of waves in the ocean, it is our duty to do everything we can to make your photos stand out with bright colors and a lot of personality. When it comes to Maui, there is nowhere better than the beaches on the West Side and South Side of the island.

On the island’s west side, we love Kapalua Beach, Ironwoods/Oneloa and DT Flemings. Each has its own personality, landscapes and top of the line views. Maui’s south side, we suggest Po'olenalena Beach, Wailea Beach, Makena Surf and Maluaka Beach. And if the beach is not your choice for your photoshoot, we would be more than happy to come to your resort or condo for your session as well!

In addition, unless we are doing indoor photography, we recommend scheduling your maternity session for early morning or at sunset. Not only do you get amazing photos of the sun grazing the top of the ocean waters, but you also typically won’t get shadows and that harsh overhead lighting.

For your attire, we recommend going with more solid colors because they tend to photograph very well, compared to more bolder patterns as you run the risk of clothing being too distracting. We also recommend softer colors such as your neutral colors. Cream, light blue, white, greens, or soft pinks all photograph beautifully, especially on a beach setting. We also suggest you incorporate your favorite props such as leis and hakus, or anything else that is personal to you that you would like to have for memory purposes of your maternity shoot. Don’t stress too much about footwear as we prefer barefoot.

Typically for Maternity photo sessions, we offer:

25 images for a 30-minute session
50 images for a one-hour session
75 images for a 90-minute session

Pricing varies depending on the package you choose. Please visit our Portrait Pricing for package options.
